Directions to Hume Lake:

Take highway 180 east from Fresno towards the Big Stump entrance to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. At the National Park entrance gate, tell the park ranger staff that you are heading to private property at Hume Lake Christian Camp. They may require you to pay the park entrance fee or they may allow you to drive through without charge - this allows you to pass through the park, but not to stop or park.

After the National Park entrance, follow highway 180 for 9 miles through Grant Grove Village until you turn right onto Hume Lake Road. Follow Hume Lake road for 3 miles until you reach the main entrance to Hume Lake Christian Camps.

At the Hume Lake Christian Camp welcome booth, let the Hume Lake staff know you are renting the Austins' and Rosenkranzes' cabin on lot 389. Drive into the camp on Forest Road to Long Meadow and then take a left onto Ponderosa. Follow Ponderosa up the hill. Follow Ponderosa as it turns left, but then travel straight ahead on to East Pine Street instead of following Ponderosa to the right. Follow East Pine up the hill and past Redwood. Turn right onto Lakeview and follow the turns in the road until the junction of Lakeview and Witness Road. You will see the cabin straight ahead. You can park in the driveway or in the lower parking space to the left of the cabin.
